We wish to welcome you to the site of the Lower Adirondack Chapter NY 27 of the
Red Knights International Firefighters Club Inc.
We are glad you have stopped by for a visit.
Please feel free to spend some time with us and visit all of our pages, we will be adding and growing the site as time goes on.
Back in May of 2005 Chief Bill Meehan and President Jack Demers of the Minerva Fire Dept. & Rescue Squad talked about forming a chapter of the Red Knights, so Firefighters in the North Warren Co. and South Essex Co. would have a club in there area. The RK MC International was contacted and permission was granted to recruit for membership in our area.
The first meeting was held on July 8th at the Minerva Fire Station with 18 firefighters in attendance that resulted in 13 from Minerva and Johnsburg joining the new Red Knights International MC, NY Chapter 27. RK Chapter 12, from Wilton sent 4 officers that presented a program to help form the new chapter.
Our chapter charter was official on 20 July 2005. We now have members from Minerva, Johnsburg, Indian Lake, North Creek and Schroon Lake, with a total of 28 Active Members and 9 Social Members.
