PRESIDENTS LETTER 05-26-2009

Thinking back to the night a few of us met with Red Knights Chapter 12, in the Minerva station, to talk about forming a Red Knights chapter in our area. Rides and events have passed since that night. Rides to the Fire mans Home and Museum, Pittsburgh, Rouses Point, and rides throughout the Adirondacks. The Eric Loiselle Scholarship run has been one of ours and Sporty's most successful benefit rides. We also had mild success with the Tail of the Dragon Run which we donated the proceeds to the Hole in the Woods Camp. Americade week has been a time to meet other chapters and brother/sister Red Knights. Our Annual meeting/dinner is always a lot of fun, where members meet family and friends.

I hope we have laid a strong foundation for Red Knights NY27 for years to come. Election of officers will be coming up at the July meeting. It is time for me to step aside for a new president, with new ideas and goals that will move the club fore ward. I will help with the transition of leadership, hand over all paperwork and contacts necessary to run the chapter.

I have had a good run as president, but look foreword to relaxing as just a club member.
