On Aug. 17, 2005 while performing his duties on I87, 31 year old Deputy Sheriff Eric Loiselles life was cut short, leaving behind a wife and 3yr. old son.
On Sept. 18, 2005 Red Knights, NY Chapter 27 &
Sporty's "Iron Duke" Saloon sponsored the Eric
Loiselle Memorial Ride. The 2 hr. ride, with 230 motorcycles, went from Minerva Fire Station through Olmstedville, Schroon Lake, North Hudson, Newcomb, Minerva and arrived at Sporty's where a pork & turkey dinner was served. Escort for the run was provided by the Essex County Sheriffs Dept. and the NYS Police. More than $6000.00 was raised to benefit Eric's family.
The photo is of the run on the Blue Ridge Road between North River and Newcomb.
It is hard to see but the bikes go all the way to the end of the visible road. The road you are looking at is Blue Ridge Road in North Hudson NY.

Double H Ranch is a wonderful Ranch that provides summer camp for children
with life threatening and chronic illnesses.
Thanks to all the riders and workers who made this ride a success!
Looking forward to an even larger crowd next year!
Miracle Network Aug. 2006
2nd ERIC LOISELLE MEMORIAL RIDE September 17th 2006
We had more then 180 Bikes, 7+ Corvettes from the Adirondacks Corvettes Club. Plus a wonderful showing of various Police Agencies escorting everyone through the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. We even had a Classic Florida Police Car fully restored for our enjoyment. The ride was awesome with new comradely abound. As you can see by the photos there are all types of vehicles showing their respect for Eric and all Law Enforcement Members putting their lives on the line everyday!
234 folks signed up and raised $4700.00 for a Scholarship Fund in Eric's name for Graduating Seniors going into the Law Enforcement field, started by Nattily.
Eric will be missed by all that knew him, and many that didn't. This event is to let his family know that he was there for his family and community and we will be there for them in his absence.
Thanks to Sporty for the fantastic Pig Roast and Door Prizes!
